Dr. Kirsten Allen

Clinical Sport Psychologist | Certified Mental Performance Consultant |

Board-Certified Rehabilitation Psychologist

I’m a psychologist, former Division I swimmer, and lifelong learner passionate about helping high performers live fuller, more aligned lives—on and off the field.

Growing up across the U.S. and abroad exposed me to a range of cultures and perspectives. Swimming quickly became my anchor and outlet. What began as a love for the sport evolved into years of competition at the collegiate level. Just before college, I began to feel burnt out and started questioning what truly motivated me—beyond records, rankings, and scholarships. I realized many of those goals reflected what others wanted for me, not what I wanted for myself. Somehow I made it through my 4 years. In hindsight, I wish I’d had access to sport psychology.

After graduation, I spent three years coaching for an elite swim team, where I was first introduced to sport psychology. That experience solidified my passion for helping others not just perform, but thrive.

Today, with a master’s in Sport and Performance Psychology and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I bring a unique blend of personal insight and professional expertise. My background spans hospitals, outpatient clinics, and athletic organizations, allowing me to support clients navigating performance pressure, recovery, transition, and personal growth.

Whether you’re an athlete striving for consistency, a professional managing high demands, or someone seeking greater balance and clarity, my integrative, collaborative approach guides you to strengthen resilience and align performance with wellbeing. Because life’s most meaningful progress happens through Collaborative Minds.
